  • Overview

    Performs duties related to retrieval and preparation of health/administrative information requested by the
    Quality Assurance Department personnel and by the Compliance Officer for quarterly utilization reviews,
    external peer reviews, incident and complaint investigations, requests from attorneys, subpoenas, and
    requests pertaining to regulatory and payer audits received in person, by mail, fax, telephone, or E-mail by
    the Agency


    • Responsible for interfacing with personal computer (PC) applications as well as scanning
    • Responsible to perform activities including but not limited to chart research and expediting, unfiled
      document retrieval, hard copy chart retrieval etc. in order to fulfill chart requests from QA or
      Compliance personnel.
    • Confirm information interchange by communicating with clinical, finance and administrative team
    • Utilizes computer skills to carry out duties associated with transferring information and maintaining a
      record request file.
    • Properly coordinate record transfer, record follow-up, and record scanning and indexing functions if
      required, with team members.
    • Responsible for protecting data from unauthorized release or from loss, alteration, or unauthorized
    • Following applicable laws and instructions regarding access to computerized files, access codes,
      etc. as required by HIPPA
    • Must be conscientious regarding the confidentiality of the variety of material that will be handled.
    • Other duties as assigned


    • High School diploma or GED required
    •  Knowledge of medical documentation retention and organization
    • Basic knowledge of computers and computer storage systems
    • Strong organization skills
    • Basic knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
